Audrey passed away peacefully at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Saturday, October 21, 2023 of Aylmer, formerly of London in her 78th year. Loving sister of John and Geraldine, Charles and Ruth, twin brother Norman, Raymond and Darlene, and Fred and Karen. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and her two furry felines. Predeceased by her parents Walter and Edna (Mitchell) Eckel, sister-in-law Bernice, and her nephew Randy.
Audrey worked as an RNA for many years at Victoria Hospital in London. She also worked at the Exeter canning factory and Schaffer Pen in Goderich before her nursing career. Audrey attended SS #5 Stanley and then Clinton High School. She adored her cats, loved horses and cherished spending time with her family.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 456 Main Street South, EXETER on Friday, October 27th from 11:30 – 12:30, where Audrey’s memorial service will be held at 1 PM with Rev. Randy Banks officiating. Cremation with interment Bayfield Cemetery.
