WYLIE, Robert Bell
January 28, 1933 – December 5, 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Wylie at 90 years of age.
Reunited with his beloved wife Hilda (2010). Loving father to Mary (1977) and Catriona (David). Cherished grandpa to Julia (Kody), Nicholas and Brianne. Dear brother to Richard (1998), Flora and Isabel (John – 2011), and many nieces and nephews in England.
Bob was a beloved Scotsman, a witty jokester who relished a fine glass of scotch, fish and chips, had a fondness for sweets, took delight in his Timmies, and found joy in the game of golf. In 1964, Bob alongside his wife and young daughter (Mary) embarked on a life-changing journey from Scotland to Windsor, Ontario. His diverse career included service as military police (Scotland), police constable (England/Scotland/Windsor), a successful realtor, and dedicated roles with the Chamber of Commerce (Windsor/Elora). A man of great strength and resilience, Dad found joy in golf trips with friends, dart games, cottage trips and above all, took immense pride in his loving family and grand puppies (Lucy, Huxley, and Oakley). He will be forever missed by his best friends Arthur (Julie), Claude, and Muri, as well as his many friends at Ashgrove Manor.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Iler Lodge for their care. Cremation has taken place, and a private graveside family service will be held as per Bob’s wishes.
He was beloved by all who graced his presence, and he will be forever remembered as a man with great honour, integrity, and with an unmatched sense of humour.
