Jim’s “gone fishing” on the heavenly seas! Waving from shore is his loving wife of almost 58 years, Bonnie Lynn (Chappell), his devoted children Teri & Tim St. Pierre, Thérèse & Chris Wilson, and the pride of his life, his 4 grandchildren Kristen (Ben) & Tyler St. Pierre, Emma & Zachary (Jaelyn) Wilson.
Jim will reunite with his parents Mary & Jim Wilson, brother Douglas, his in-laws Win & Cliff Chappell, brothers-in-law Dan Chappell, & J.R. Gall and sisters-in-law Lori and Dona.
Saying “bon voyage” are his sister-in-law Sandra Gall, brother-in-law Chris & Bev Chappell, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
His breakfast buddies Gary (Jan) Wiltsie, Bill (Linda) Morose, Brian (Betty) McAlpine, Chris (Margaret) King, Bruce (Millie) Reeve will miss his quick wit. Long time friends Don (Margaret) Shearer, Bill (Dona) Chantler, Ben (Mary) Bromley will miss catching up at our monthly dinners.
Jim enjoyed his golf games with family and friends and the many fishing trips up north. He loved his time camping with family and travelling from Cochrane to Cape Breton, Florida to Dallas. When not on the road, or water, he worked at Dominion Stores, Steve ‘n’ Eddy’s Restaurant, and retired after 29 years from Hiram Walkers Security & Fire Protection.
Jim had a full and satisfying life with family always close to his heart. The family gives many thanks to the Doctors and professionals who cared for Jim and especially for the compassionate care he received at Erie Shores Hospice.
Jim is resting at the Kennedy Funeral Home Ltd. (519-776-7378) 128 Talbot St. North, Es on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. Jim’s life will be celebrated from the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Canon Lance Smith officiating. Interment to follow at Victoria Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Erie Shores Hospice, Canadian Cancer Society, Arthritis Society, Church of the Ascension, or a charity of your choice.
