Loving husband of Janice Walton (McKenzie). Cherished father of Matthew Walton. Loving stepfather of Michelle (Jamie) Chalmers, Sean (Rachel) Lavigne. Dear grandfather of Rowan Walton, Kenzie and Oliver Lavigne, Kaitlynn and Lauren Chalmers. Dear brother of Bill (late Diane), Carole (late Milner Roy) Dobbs, Ray (Brenda) Walton, Randy (Jennifer) Walton. Also remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Gary was a career police officer who had service in North Bay, Toronto and Shelburne. He retired from Toronto Police Services in 2001 after 25 years of service and officially retired from Police Services in 2014. He loved his motorcycle, travelling in his RV and riding his newly acquired electric bike. He was an avid reader and published a book with his brother Bill. Gary loved his siblings and enjoyed getting together as much as possible with his friends and family. Gary had many happy memories and great friends from the past 10 years at Wildwood Golf & RV Park. Cremation has taken place. A life celebration will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Heart & Stroke or Diabetes Canada. Kennedy Funeral Home Ltd.
