Douglas passed away on August 12, 2024. Treasured father of Collin and Connor Carnegie. Loving son of Darlene and Douglas Carnegie and his grandparents Ruth and late Marshall Newman, late Josephine and late Calvin Ford. Dear brother Bonnie (Ricky) Carnegie-Policella. Also remembered by his niece Emily Carnegie. Dougie will be sadly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends. Dougie loved nature, especially the beach and water and was a big family man. He was very proud of his Scottish heritage. Our family would like to thank the OPP and the OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit. Donations may be made to The Cook-Rees Memorial Fund For Water Search And Safety PO Box 21030, Stratford, ON N5A 7V4. Cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will be held on August 19, 2024 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. A funeral service to celebrate Doug’s life will be held at Kennedy Funeral Home on Tuesday August 20, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Graceland Universalist, Olinda.
