Passed away peacefully on December 13, 2024, at 100 years of age. Dear wife of the late George Kniffen (1964) and Albert Wortley (1988). Loving and devoted mother of Charles “Ted” (Ruby) Kniffen, late Cheryl (George) Spens, Roger Kniffen, Nancy (late Ron Henricks) Kniffen, Stanley “Spyph” Wortley, Marsha (David) Bowles and Robert Wortley. Cherished grandmother of 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren with one on the way. Dear sister of Cam (late Sue) Jackson, the late Leslie (Florence) Jackson, the late Lloyd (late Mary) Jackson, the late Bob (late Elizabeth) Jackson, Ruby (late Arnold) Johnson, late Albert (late Julie) Jackson, and the late Sheila Bennett. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Doris worked at Es High School as the cafeteria manager for many years. Our family would like to thank the staff on the third floor at Berkshire Care Centre for their care and compassion. Visitation will be held at Kennedy Funeral Home Ltd. (519-776-7378) 128 Talbot St. North Es on Thursday December 19, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. until a time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Interment Cottam United Church Cemetery.
