Authier, Edgar “Ed”
Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his residence on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at the age of 81.
Beloved husband of Ruth (Purcell) Authier of Waterloo for over 59 years. Proud father of Chris (Wendy) of Waterloo, and Dennis (Michelle) of Nanaimo, BC. Cherished grandfather of Jessica, Emily, Josh; Nikolas, Zachary, and Wesley. Dear brother of Rose (Jim) Hodgson, Dorothy Bernard, Margaret (Theo) VanDyk, and Cliff (Marlene).
Predeceased by his parents Alcide and Josie Authier, siblings Leo, Oscar, Wilfred, Lawrence, Felix, Pat, and Theresa.
Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 in the funeral home chapel, with a reception to follow. Interment in Hawkesville Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Grand River Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated and may be made through the funeral home.
