Passed away peacefully with family by her side on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Sunnyside Home, Kitchener, at the age of 95.
Corrie is now reunited with her loving husband of 69 years, John. Will be dearly missed by her children Frieda (Dave Charlton, 2015), Marty (Janice), Marian (Marty) VandeVen, Diana (Russell) Davison, and Janette (Joe) Soehner. Special Oma to Andrea (Marcel), Stacey (Ryan); Adam (Lauren), Alexis; Jennifer (Matt), Robin (Matt); Aaron (Krista), Nate; Christine (Mike) and Robbie. Great Oma to 13 great-grandchildren.
Family was dear to Corrie’s heart. She lit up when her grandkids or great-grandkids were in the room, and she always put her friends and family first. Corrie kept busy with knitting, sewing, crafts and gardening. She was also close to her Catholic faith. Corrie was always up for a laugh and a good card game, and she will be deeply missed.
Cremation has taken place and a mass and celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
Donations to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada or MS Canada would be appreciated, and may be made through the Dreisinger Funeral Home.
