On Sunday, August 25, 2024, Ellen was called home to her final and everlasting dwelling place, flowing with springs of living water. Wife of the late James David Law (d. 1987); dear sister of Phyllis, Loretta, Fr. Joe, late Johnny, late Alfie, late Robert, late Pat and late Jerry. Ellen had two children Maureen and Bruce (Elizabeth) and one adored grandchild Christian. Ellen will be deeply missed by all her extended family and by her many friends. Ellen was a woman of natural grace, beauty and simplicity with an easy laugh and an inclination for fun. Tennis and golf with the girls were a passion and the source of lasting friendships. She cherished authentic and meaningful relationships and instinctively knew how to relate to the essential qualities in the people she encountered. Ellen was a devoted loving and ever-present grandmother to Christian, a source of constant affection and pride. Ellen will be cremated in a private ceremony.
Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Thursday, Sept 5th from 6:30 – 8:30p.m. Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church, 2016 Blairholm Ave, (at the corner of Brant St & Blairholm) on Friday, Sept 6th at 11:00a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Good Shepherd or flowers would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
