WAITE, PAT GARNET
Pat passed away peacefully at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, September 29, 2023, in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of Kay (Catherine) nee’ McKellar for 71 years. Loving father of Beverly Caley (predeceased)(Robert), Nancy (Hugh) Hunter, Janet Waite, Susan (Boris) Pertout and Richard (Deb) Waite. Predeceased by parents, Thomas Edward Waite, and Allie May Waite (Douglas) and brothers Cecil, Elmer, and Grant. Loving Grandfather to Jennifer (Keith Clarke) Michael (Nichole) and Laura (Darren Gooder) Caley, Joshua (Katie), Jacob (Charlotte), and Cheri (Chad McGahan) Hunter, Dillon (Carley) and Lowgan Pertout and Tim Waite. Great Granddad to Aedan, MacKenzie, Kiara, Declan, Emily, Allison, Jace, Cash, Audrey, Ruby, Emery, and Isabel.
Pat was a lifetime resident of Elgin County, where he and Kay farmed for many years. Pat was known as a skilled carpenter and practiced his trade for decades.
Thanks to the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, 4th floor, Dr. Cieslak and the nursing staff for all their care.
Visitation will be held at Dunwich United Church, 274 Currie Rd, Dutton ON on Thursday October 5, 2023 at 12 to 2PM, immediately followed by the funeral service. Donations may be made to Dunwich United Church or any charity of your choice.
