Teresa ‘Terry’ Meade, 76, of Dundas, Ontario, passed away on September 21, 2024.
Terry was born on March 12, 1948, to Gordon and Helen (née Charbonneau) Pratt in Windsor, Ontario. After Terry graduated from Kennedy Collegiate in Windsor, she went on to study dental hygiene after graduation.
After graduating, she worked her entire career in the dental field holding many roles including dental assisting, office management and sales. She was an expert at her job and kept many a dentist on the straight and narrow.
In 1969, Terry met Rex Meade in Toronto where they were both living at the time. Terry and Rex were married on February 27, 1971. They added to their family when their daughter Keely was born. Terry was a loving wife, mother, sister, and daughter.
Terry was predeceased by her parents, Gordon and Helen Pratt, a brother, Paul Gerald ‘Gerry’ Pratt, a sister, Susan Pratt-Moores, and her daughter, Keely (Meade) Alstoft.
She is survived by her husband Rex Meade, brothers Thomas (Edie) Pratt of Ottawa, ON, Robert (Roxanne) Pratt of Kingsville, ON, and sister Mary Anne Pratt of Windsor, ON.
Terry loved to cross-country ski, dance, socialize with friends, and she always loved dogs which was a trait she shared with her daughter Keely.
A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 1p.m.-4 p.m. at Circle of Life Cremation and Burial Centre, 100 King Street East Dundas, ON L9H 1C4 (additional parking at the Air Force Club).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the local SPCA as these organizations were meaningful to Terry.
