With saddened hearts we announce the passing of our father and grandfather Robert (Pat) Scott, on October 6, 2024, in his 84th year. Reunited with Joan (2021), his beloved wife of 59 years. Loving father to Rob Scott (Judith), and Trish Hopkins (Andy). Cherished grandfather to Ben Scott (Lauren), Jack Hopkins (Justine), Ridley Scott, Travis Hopkins, Tim Scott (Karli), Ryan Hopkins, and Katie Scott. Predeceased by his parents Bill and Elizabeth Scott, and sister Mary Lomax (Dave). He will also be missed by his nephew Greg, and niece Laura, his loyal dog Chelsey, and his “coffee club” buddies.
In his early days he would have made a good candidate for his favourite show “Survivor” as he was a skilled outdoorsman, extremely strong mentally and physically, and had the wisdom and intellectual abilities needed to win. After a successful career in the metal recoveries industry, Pat retired in 1998. Retirement became the perfect adventure when he purchased a Muskoka cottage at Go Home Lake where he loved to fish, boat and enjoy campfires with his family. He was an avid gardener, McGyver of anything broken, and a natural woodworker with many projects on the go.
A private family celebration of life will take place at a later date. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at JBMH 6 West.
