Our mother and Nana, Margaret Frances Harris, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2024, to join her late husband, Stanley Harris. She was in her 92nd year, born in London England, and the daughter of the late Paul and Laura McBrearty.
Margaret is survived by her sons Paul (Jackie), and Stephen (Susan). Predeceased by her siblings Jim, Marie, and Paula. Survived by her sisters Tessa, and Kathy (John), and her brother Michael (Nikki).
Also survived by her grandchildren Sarah (Aaron) and Aidan, and many cousins, nieces and nephews in Canada and England.
Margaret married in 1952 and emigrated to Canada with her husband in 1957 to start a family and a new life. She had many jobs before finding a position at Sanden Printing Press that lasted 25 years until her retirement. Margaret retired as VP of Finance.
Margaret was a world traveler, loved tennis, golf, and playing Dominoes. Family and her faith were very important to her. Margaret was known for her strength, leadership, and was very generous with multiple charities.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday October 25th, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ambrose Church, 210 South St. Cambridge ON N1R 2P4.
Cremation to follow. She will be laid to rest following the cremation.
