It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of
our mother Joan Sylvia Davies. Joan passed away
peacefully at Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington on July
3, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.
Loving wife of the late Edward Davies. Cherished
daughters Karen Jank (Ken), Paula Corbett (Steve), and Helen
Davies.
Beloved Nan to Grandchildren Stephanie Passador
(David), Keith Corbett, Ryan Jank (Tiffany), and Nicholas
Corbett (Leah)
Adored Nanny to her great-grandchildren Zoe, Ashton,
Ava, Callan, Kennedy, Stella, and Payton.
Predeceased by her parents Gwladys and Harold
Roberts.
Will be dearly missed by her family in England, sister
Lynne Marchant (Richard), sisters-in-law Anne Lambert
(late Paul), Sheila Argent (William), many nieces,
nephews, and cousins.
She will also be missed by many friends and neighbours.
Joan was born in Devonport-Plymouth, England in1938
and emigrated with Ed and their 3 daughters to Canada in
1968.
Mom enjoyed being on many social committees and
traveling abroad with dad.
Her love for golf created many friendships and fond
memories while a member of the Millcroft Golf Club. She
enjoyed reminding us on a regular basis of her
achievement of 2 holes in 1.
The family would like to thank the Palliative Care Team at
Joseph Brant Hospital for the care and compassion they
showed her during her final weeks.
A special thanks to Dr. Park, his palliative team, Joel Abac
RN, Dr. Phillips, Dr. Mills, and Amanda Wong for the
kindness you showed our mother and our entire family.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life, open to friends and family, will take
place at 1:00 pm on Saturday July 13th, at the Millcroft
Golf Club, (2155 Country Club Drive Burlington) followed
by a gathering until 4:00 pm.
Mom, you will forever be in our hearts. Your life was a
blessing, your memory a treasure.
