Donna passed away in Hamilton on October 1, 2024. Donna was predeceased by her parents, the late Gordon Joseph Dengis (1997) and the late Dorothy Irene Dengis (2014). Donna was a life-long resident of the Hamilton area, a proud former employee of CHCH-TV (27 years) and the City of Hamilton’s Councillor’s Office (retired 2007). She was a world-wide pen pal correspondent since the age of 14, and had personally met some of them over the years. Since retiring she became a voracious reader of any and all reading material. Many thanks to Denise Dickie and Maurice and Dorrette Rodgers for the decades of valued friendship. Additional, heartfelt thanks to Donna’s steadfast, supportive friends and wonderful neighbours. Deep gratitude is extended to the caring doctors, nurses, and therapists at St. Joseph’s Hospital, plus St. Joseph’s Home Care, CBI Home Health, and Closing the Gap. Private interment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery, Ancaster.
