Obituary of Garry Curts
It is with heavy hearts we share the passing of Raymond “ Garry” Curts in his 80th year after a brief battle with cancer. Garry retired from Imperial Oil a few years after moving to the Dresden area where he thoroughly enjoyed being a gentleman farmer. He has passed on to the next generation his love of the outdoors, all things hunting and fishing and his love of dogs. Survived by his wife of 57yrs, Marlene (Robbins), his children Stephanie (David) Porter, Glen (Jen) Curts and Lisa Curts; his 5 grandchildren Raya and Greyson Porter, John, Emily and Jason Curts; his sister Cheryl (Dave) Potosky and family; and his in-laws Gary and Brenda Robbins, Claire and Helen Robbins, Eugene and Carine Robbins and their families. Predeceased by parents Ray and Myrle Curts. The Curts Family will receive friends at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 679 North St., Dresden on Friday, August 23, 2024 from 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM. Words of Remembrance will be shared at 1:30 PM. A Private Family Interment will be held at Bear Creek Cemetery, Brigden. Donations to Lambton County Developmental Services (c/o 339 Centre St, Petrolia, ON N0N 1R0) or the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation (c/o 34 Wellington St E, Chatham, ON N7M 3N7) would be appreciated.
