GALLIE, Diane Marie (nee Eves) January 9th, 1954 – September 15th, 2024
With deep sadness we share the passing of our wonderful Mom and Grandma, Diane Marie Gallie (Eves) on Sunday, September 15th in her home at the age of 70. Beloved wife of the late William (Bill) Gallie (2020) for over 49 years. Diane is survived by her two daughters Michelle (Reid) Snow and Steph Gallie (Sean), and her most cherished grandchildren Kenzlie and Quinten Snow. Diane spent over 17 years serving her community at several BMO branches and continued her passion for helping people at the City of Burlington for 10+ years prior to retiring. During these many years she also was an active volunteer with Skate Canada in several different capacities, including managing numerous synchronized skating teams that her daughters were members of. She traveled the world for her daughters’ passions, dance and figure skating and never missed an opportunity to give as much of herself as possible to helping others, even baking fresh muffins for early morning practices! She loved the sunshine either in Florida in the winters or at the cottage in the summer, she was always drawn to a nice, beautiful day surrounded by family and friends, playing games, or just chatting on the dock. Her energy was contagious and unlimited, as was her love. Mom will be greatly missed by her extended family and friends. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Sunday, September 22, 2024, from 6-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at ST. JOHN’S ANGLICAN CHURCH, 2464 Dundas Street West, BURLINGTON on Monday, September 23 at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Juravinski Cancer Centre or Heart & Stroke Foundation with a deep appreciation from the family.
