In Loving Memory
Mr. Wayne Phillip Jenkins of Simcoe, passed away at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 in his 76th year. Wayne was a farmer through and through. His green thumb continued on with hours spent in his vegetable garden. In recent years he could be found touring around Simcoe on his scooter socializing with friends and finding the best place to purchase sweet treats. After his daily adventures he could be found at home sitting in his favourite chair watching John Wayne movies with his best friend (Chase, the cat) sitting on his belly. Loving father of Loralie Ferreira (Tony), Christa Renner (Brad), Carla Smith (Rob) and the Late Clarke Jenkins (2021) and their mother Christine Howes. Cherished grandfather of Joshua, MacKenna, Marques, Sam, Emiley, Jackson, Jayden, Lyndsay (Fred) and Ashley and great grandfather of Lucas and Brandon. Dearest brother of Sandra Honsberger (Wayne). Also survived by several nieces, nephews and in laws. As per Wayne’s wishes, a Private Family Service will take place. Memorial Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Diabetes Canada can be made at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) and will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
