John F. Smart of La Salette, passed away at the Hamilton General Hospital , on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 in his 85th year. As a youth, John cherished time spent with his grandfather tending to his bees as a trained Beekeeper. Over the years, he also enjoyed hunting & fishing and working on motors including his tractors, combines and cars. Beloved husband of Suzanne (Van Saase) Smart and the Late Helen (Gee) Smart (1976). Dearest brother of Joseph Smart (Late Donna, 2012) and brother-in-law of Pat Van derwerff (Late Gerald, 2017). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother George Smart (1988) (Jean). Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) for visitation on Monday, April 8, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service held in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Deacon Andy Alway officiating. Inurnment in Our Lady of LaSalette Cemetery . In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Charity of your choice will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
