Mrs. Joan Carpenter of Delhi, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, on Sunday, May 12, 2024 in her 69th year. Joan enjoyed shopping and travelling. She liked baking, gardening and sewing but most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Joan was a nurse at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital for many years. Former Joan Brenda Gehring. Beloved wife of Gary Carpenter. Loving mother of Lindsay Mudge, Nick Porter (Patricia), Jason Carpenter and Amie Cunningham (Shane). Cherished grandmother of Bailey, Jaiden, Dylan, Faith, Kaitlyn, Alexander, Kristin, Emmanuel (Rebecca) and Jonah (Lexi) and great-grandmother of Aubrey. Dearest sister of Linda Patterson (Bob) and Les Gehring (Bertha). Also survived by several nieces, nephews and in-laws. Predeceased by her son, Mike Churchill (2023) and by her parents, Jean (Walter) and Irvin Gehring. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial Donations to the London Health Science Foundation (Cancer Research) can be made through the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) and will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
