Mr. Glen Wilbur of Delhi peacefully passed away at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Saturday, March 16, 2024 in his 96th year. Glen was the beloved husband of 67 years to the Late Freda (Seeley) Wilbur. Glen was a devoted member of the St. Alban’s Anglican Church and a director of the Delhi Cemetery. He was the past owner of Delhi Taxi Service, School Bus Line, and the Delhi Delivery Service. He was a proud lifelong resident of Delhi and enjoyed sharing stories of the town’s history. He was a hard worker and devoted father to his three girls. He cherished his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and extended family. Loving father of Lorie Dertinger (Gerry), Lynn Goudeseune (Brian), and Lisa Misener (Trevor). Treasured grandfather of Kyle Dertinger (Jessica), Kevin Goudeseune (Jen), Meghan Joy Baker (Mark), Matthew Goudeseune, Tyler Misener, and Jared Misener. Cherished great grandfather of Claire, Ian, Amalie, Josie, and Evera. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Predeceased by his son, Timonthy, and by his siblings (Leone, Ray, Iva, Alice, Doris, and Jim). Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) for visitation on Wednesday, March 27, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Alban’s Anglican Church, Delhi on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Larry Brown officiating. Inurnment in Delhi Cemetery. Memorial Donations to the Delhi Cemetery Beautification Fund or the Lung Health Association will be gratefully appreciated by the family. A special Thank You to the palliative nursing staff at the Norfolk General Hospital and the PSWs from VON and Bayshore.
