Herbert ‘Herb’ Thielemann Obituary
Herb passed away peacefully at the North Renfrew Long Term Care Center in Deep River, Ontario at the age of 94 years old. Born in Castor, Alberta, Herb was raised on the family farm. As a young man he moved to Ontario. Herb was married to Joan (Anderchuk) and had five children. He worked for Domtar as a welder in the lumber camps. He loved fishing, hunting and camping. Many years later he remarried Betty (Munro, Airey, Jackson) and raised two boys in Nipigon, Ontario. Herb and Betty were very active in square dancing and lived a full life together. Herb retired to Thunder Bay and they lived there for 25 years before relocating to Deep River, Ontario. He is predeceased by his parents, Johannes and Emilie; his brothers Oscar and Fred; and his loving wife, Betty. He will be greatly missed by his children, Henry Thielemann (Stacey), Jon Monico (Nancy), Anna Debrie (Danny), Lily Mungham (Gerry), Nora Thielemann, Richard Airey (Sumiye), and Dennon Airey. He is survived by many wonderful grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. Respecting Herbs wishes there will be a cremation. There will be no visitation or funeral. Burial of ashes will be held privately at a later date. In memory of Herb, donations to the North Renfrew Long Term Care Center will be appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Valley Funeral Home in Deep River, Ontario.
