It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Daniel Joseph McPhail on Friday, July 26, 2024 at Southbridge Long Term Care at the age of 86 years. Beloved husband for 58 years of Bernice McPhail (née Lapointe). Loving father of Linda Paquette (Eric), Joanne Fraser (Norm) and Kim McPhail. Cherished grandfather of Nick (Carissa), Matthew, Abby, Blake (Liz), Makayla, Derrick and Jacob and great-grandfather of Raelynn, Sawyer and Nixon. Dear brother of Inez Wheeler (late Lorne) and Marleen McMahon (late Allan). Dear father-in-law of Larry Legue. He is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Mary McPhail (née St-Denis) and by his brothers Kenny McPhail, Henry McPhail, Leonard McPhail, Keith McPhail (late Janet) and Gerald McPhail (late Pat). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 30th, 2024 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home. 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall, ON (613-938-3888) and from 8:30 a.m. until the 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31st, 2024. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 31st, 2024 in St. Columban Church at 10 a.m. followed by interment in St. Andrew’s West Cemetery. Memorial Donations can be made in Daniel’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Society or to Southbridge Long Term Care.
