It is with great sadness that we announce that our dear Tammie – wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away at Campbell House on Wednesday July 17, 2024, at the age of 56.
Tammie was the beloved wife and best friend of Steve Marsden, proud and loving mother of Jessica Crawford, Katelynn Crawford and Zach Sills (Kathryn) and devoted nana of Riley, Sophia, Ryder and Hailey. She will be deeply missed by Steve’s children Nathan and Cheyenne and grandchildren Max and Cece. Zeus, the dog she loved to hate, will miss her company and cuddles.
Tammie was one of 10 children born to the late John and Mary Meyers. She is survived by her siblings Pat Desrosiers, Nancy Laxton, Russell Meyers (Nancy), Valerie Meyers Penny (Mike), Roger Meyers (Marlene), Melanie Meyers, John Meyers (Brenda), Tim Meyers (Helen) and Jeremy Meyers. Also remembered by many nieces and nephews.
She loved finding treasures at yard sales and spending time doing arts and crafts. Tammie was always putting others first, she was kind, generous and loving. At work she was a dedicated employee and leader, she had a natural ability to work with others and get the job done.
Whenever her health took a downturn, she took it all in stride. She never stopped fighting, she never complained, time and time again defeating the odds that stacked against her. To the very end, she still had a quip, or joke to dispense. She will always be remembered for her endless fighting spirit and extraordinary sense of humour, which will forever make her family smile.
Family and friends will be received for visitation at Fawcett Funeral Home – Collingwood Chapel on Tuesday July 30, 2024, from 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in Tammie’s memory may be made to Hospice Georgian Triangle – Campbell House.
