Potter, Margaret “Marnie” Violet (nee Smith)
Peacefully passed away at Campbell House Hospice, Collingwood on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at age 85 years. Beloved wife of 56 years to the late Stanley Potter. Loving mother of Donna Potter (Robert Hendry) and Walter Potter (Denise). Cherished grandmother of Spencer, Ian, Nicolas and Elaine. Marnie was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia and was one of ten children of the late Helen (nee MacDonald) and the late James Smith. She will be remembered by her brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces, nephews and her many friends.
The family wish to thank Dr. Peter Wells and his staff for their kindness and support over the years. The family extends their appreciation to the nursing and support staff at Campbell House Hospice.
Private family arrangements have been entrusted to the Chatterson Funeral Home, 404 Hurontario Street, Collingwood. Interment will be held at First Presbyterian Cemetery. If desired, a donation in her memory may be made to Hospice Georgian Triangle – Campbell House.
