Clancy, Louise Foster passed away peacefully at Campbell House Hospice in Collingwood, Ontario on January 10th.
Louise will be lovingly remembered by her family: Helen (Bob) Belanger, Tom (Jan) Foster, Cathy (the late Dick) Brighton, Lynn (Adrian) Van der Vloet, Colleen (John) Stolp, her twin Laura (Frank) Perna and friend Mary Kay Foster.
She was the treasured Aunt of 21 nieces and nephews.
Louise was an artist who lived on her own terms and will be deeply missed.
Portraying the world mainly in water colours, and later in photography, Louise was known for surrounding her herself with bright, dramatic colours in her dress and environment.
Through her extensive travels, living and working around the world, Louise made connections with a vast and varied network of friends, who also mourn her loss.
Louise had a strong sense of social justice, volunteering her time to support those in need in every community in which she lived.
Among her many endeavors, Louise taught English in Poland, literacy in the prison in Whitehorse and facilitated Smart Recovery program on Vancouver’s east side.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Louise’s name to Campbell House Hospice in Collingwood.
