It with great sadness we announce the passing of Gregory(Greg) Alan Patterson.
Greg was born in Vancouver, BC on 21st of April 1947, growing up in the Kitsalano region of Vancouver. Greg was an active tinkerer, proud and passionate of his engineering skills.
Greg went on to get an associate degree from British Colombia Institute of Technology, followed up by a Masters Degree of Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Tech.
His career was rich and full of experiences as he continued to tinker and engineer.
A passionate person in all ways, Greg enjoyed being active, be it on the golf course, the ski hills, the ice rink or the lake to go windsurfing and rowing. Greg also enjoyed the quiet times, with his collection of fine scotches and good books. Friends and family can attest to his voracious reading, with Greg needing at least 3 books for a 2 day vacation.
Greg is survived by his partner Judith Smith, his sister Denise, his 2 sons Eric and Ian, and 5 Grandchildren Willa, Alexandra, Elliott, Oren and Richard. He is pre-deceased by his parents Myrna and Earl and brother Richard.
Cremation has already taken place. A celebration of life is scheduled at 133 Blue mountain road at 1 pm October 16.
