Brand, Gordon Arthur
June 9, 1931 – February 8, 2024
Passed away peacefully in his sleep at Gardens of Wasaga Beach. Born in Port Elgin to parents Asaph and Mary Jane Brand; the family moved to Collingwood in 1946.
Gordon was a lifelong avid Hamilton Tiger Cats fan, many will remember him around town wearing his trademark Tiger Cat attire.; hats, caps, jackets, and coats.
Gordon was predeceased by his wife Doreen, daughter Constance and son Michael.
A single parent since Doreen’s death in 1968, Gordon is survived by his devoted son and caregiver Scott (Tammy), sons Warren (Lorrie), Carl (Lyn), Robin and daughter Christine (Frank).
He cherished his grandchildren, Constance Lanteigne, Tara Brand, Eric Brand, Matthew Stanwick and Bradley Plummer; 6 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Special thank you to niece Bunny Smith of Meaford for always keeping in touch. His numerous nieces and nephews will remember him with fondness and respect.
Gordon will be greatly missed until we meet again.
The family wishes to extend thanks to Dr. O’Halloran for his care and compassion.
A celebration of life will be held in the spring. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
