Beryl Frediene Gulbronson (nee Vancise), passed away on Tuesday October 10, 2023 at the General and Marine Hospital, predeceased by the love of her life and husband Bill, May 20, 1990. Dear Mother to Jan (Dan) Minduik, Rob (Caroline) Gulbronson and Nana to Cassie (Kevin) Bros, Jeff Gulbronson (Adelle), Chris Gulbronson (Sarah) and Matt Gulbronson (Maggie), Gran Nan to Jessica Bros. Predeceased by her Father Fred Vancise and Mother Ida (Ditson) Vancise, brother Bill (Eleanor) Vancise and sister Kay (John) Currie.
Beryl was raised on a farm on the 4th line of Nottawasaga Township, attended C.C.I. and graduated from Collingwood General and Marine Nursing School, class of 1954. Until last year, she lived in Nottawa in the house that she and Bill built 66 years ago.
She was a devoted member of First Presbyterian Church in Collingwood. Until her mid 80’s she could be found hitting a golf ball at Blue Mountain Golf Course. Beryl was a fan and loved watching sports, whether it was the Blue Jays, PGA, the Maple Leafs or the Raptors. For many years she travelled many parts of the world with her dear friend, Margie, sister Kay or her best friend Fran.
Friends will be received by her family at the Chatterson Funeral Home, 404 Hurontario Street, Collingwood on Sunday from 7:00 – 9:00p.m. and again on Monday from 10:00a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11a.m. A reception will follow. Interment at First Presbyterian Cemetery.
