MacKenzie, Ann Claire (nee McCarthy) –
Passed away at home after a lengthy illness, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at age 78. Loving wife of 51 years of David MacKenzie. Cherished mother of the late Kay MacKenzie and William (Deborah) and their son Easton. Dear sister of Michael MacKenzie (Sophie), Paul MacKenzie, Maura Coristine (Bill) and Christine Gill (Chris). Ann will also be remembered by her nieces and nephews, Louise, Claire, Josephine, Chloe, Nial, James, Daniel, Michael and Caitlin. Ann was born in England to her late parents Lillian (nee Jordan) and Michael McCarthy. She will also be missed by her many colleagues and friends.
Ann had the opportunity to travel and tour Europe. She enjoyed playing bridge, tennis and was an avid golfer. Ann and David enjoyed ballroom dancing spending quality time together. Ann was also very creative and her attention to detail with her crafts, knitting and portrait paintings.
A celebration of Ann’s life is being planned for the spring at the Chatterson Funeral Home, 404 Hurontario Street, Collingwood and will be updated once finalized.
