Passed away peacefully at the age of 102 at the Coleman Care Centre, Barrie on Monday May 13, 2024 of Barrie, formerly of Waubaushene. Predeceased by his beloved and cherished wife June (December 2014). Loved father of Jenny Bishop, Glenn Bishop (Jill), Doreen Sims, Randy Bishop (Marlene), and Pam Bishop. Loving grandfather of Shawn, Laurie, Jay, and Braden. Great-grandfather of Jayla, Jayden, Makayla, Chloe, and Kenzie.
Lloyd was a veteran of WWII serving with the R.C.A.F., life member and past president of the Royal Canadian Legion Beaverbrook Branch #316, Waubaushene and retired Chief Security Officer for Ontario Hydro.
The family will honour his life with a visitation at the Coldwater Funeral Home, Coldwater on Friday evening from 6-8pm where the funeral will be held on Saturday May 18th at 2pm. Interment Waubaushene Legion Cemetery.
The members of the Waubaushene Legion will honour Lloyd with a service and laying of poppies for family and friends on Friday evening at 7:30pm.
As an expression of sympathy donations in memory of Lloyd may be made to the R.C.L. Beaverbrook Branch #316, Waubaushene “Poppy Fund” or to the charity of your choice and may be made through the funeral home.
