Anne Patricia Cortesis (née Kays)
Passed away peacefully at Golden Plough Lodge on October 20, 2024, in her 99th year. Beloved wife of the late George Cortesis. Predeceased by her parents, Sam and Patricia Kays (née Poulakakou), and her brothers Ed (Jean), Alfred, and Tom (Lyn) Kays, as well as her brother-in-law Peter Cortesis (Helen).
Cherished mother of Estelle Cortesis (Bill Cowan), Elizabeth Vosburgh (Brian), Stephen Cortesis (Karen) and the late Patricia Perkin (Mark). Loving grandmother to Anne (Tom) Harrison, Elise (Mike) Stoter, David (Tracy Sutherland) Perkin, Rachael (Matthew Desbarbieux)Hinman, Michael (Brittany Outwater) Vosburgh, Sarah (Ryan) Cichowski, Sam (Mataya) Cortesis and Zoe (Paul) Duquette and the late Laura Hinman. Proud great-grandmother to Quorra, George, Henry, Jack, Max, Clayton, Peyton, Massey, and Egan.
Anne was a talented artist, renowned for her multi-media style that embraced both nature and vibrant colour. As one of the founding members of the Cobourg Art Club, she left a lasting legacy in the local arts community. Her greatest love, however, was for her family.
A funeral will be held at St. Peter’s Anglican Church Friday, October 25, 2024 at 11:00Am with one hour visiting prior. Burial to follow at Cobourg Union Cemetery. Reception to be held at MacCoubrey Funeral Home Reception Centre. To those unable to attend the burial, please feel free to make your way to the reception. The family will arrive shortly after.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Anne’s memory can be made to St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Cobourg.
