Elizabeth Isabel (McLeod) Schellenberger
Peacefully and surrounded by love, Liz passed away at Huronview in Clinton on July 14, at age 77.
A friend to everyone she met, Liz was a beloved wife, devoted mother and friendly face in the Clinton community for more than 50 years after relocating from London.
She is survived by son Jeff (Peggy), daughter Lauren (Jeff), and son-in-law Dallas (Amberly) and families. Predeceased by Eric (2009), her husband of almost 40 years who is still missed to this day. Also predeceased by parents, Harold and Mary McLeod, and sister, Margaret.
Liz’s memory will be cherished by her lifelong forever friends, who have been devoted to her – in sickness and in health – and for whom the family is incredibly grateful.
The family also wishes to thank Huronview staff for their kindness and care throughout the past year and especially in the last week.
Liz was a registered nurse by trade and a natural caregiver by heart. She loved all animals and was a long-time supporter of Clinton Raceway. As such, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Liz’s name to Clinton Public Hospital Foundation and the Ontario Standardbred Adoption Society.
Visitation will take place at Falconer Funeral Home in Clinton on Friday, July 19 from 10am to 11am, with funeral directly to follow along with burial at Grace Lutheran Cemetery in Mitchell, ON.
