MILLAR: ELIZABETH EDNA (BETTY)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Edna (Betty) Millar on Tuesday March 12, 2024, at Huronlea Home for the Aged in Brussels. Born and raised in Stanley Township, Betty was in her 93rd year.
Betty was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Hugh Millar (2011) for 58 years. She was loved by her 5 children Randy (Lysanne) Millar, Brian (Wendy) Millar, Craig (Linda) Millar, Brenda (Alan) Young, and Scott (Debbie) Millar. She will be dearly missed by 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren with one more on the way and 7 nieces and nephews. Betty was predeceased by her parents Clifford and Edna Stewart, brothers Jack, and Jim, and sisters Lillian and Helen, sister-in-law Blanche, brother-in-law Walter, and niece Barbara.
Known for her quick wit and entertaining comments, Betty will be fondly remembered by many friends. Even up to the age of 90, she was still involved with the Londesborough United Church Women.
Visitation will be held at the Falconer Funeral Homes, 153 High Street, Clinton, on Friday March 15, 2024, from 7 -9 p.m. and again on Saturday March 16, 2024, from 12 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. Spring Interment Blyth Union Cemetery, Blyth. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations to Londesborough United Church, Huronlea Home for the Aged, or the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
