Ruth Anne Attewell passed away peacefully while surrounded by her daughters on Tuesday January 30, 2024 at Chatham Kent Health Alliance. Born in Chatham 80 years ago. Wife of Bill Attewell. Mother of Starlene VanMiddelkoop (Rob), Eddy Larsen (Karen), Sherry Larsen-Curran (Don Stokes), Doreen Lucier-James and Kirk Larsen (Jackie). She also leaves behind Bill’s children Louise, Barb, Tanya, Bill Jr, Kenny and Eric. Survived by her grandchildren Sheena, Travis (Leah), Jordan, Tyler (Catrina), Jessica (Marc), Matthew (Mandy), Morley (Tara), Amanda (Paulo), Alecia (Joe), Brennan (Tricia), Cameron (Victoria) and Eva-Lyn. Also survived by many great grandchildren. She will also be deeply missed by her beloved dog Duke. Ruth Anne loved classic country music and enjoying drinks with friends. She will always be remembered as generous, kind and one who welcomed all into her home.
All are welcome to attend a visitation on Saturday, February 3, 2023 from 2-5 pm at Life Transitions. Those wishing to make a memorial donation are asked to consider the Pet and Wildlife Rescue in Chatham.
