Raymond passed on July 31, 2024. Survived by life partner, Jo Wilson. Proud father of three daughters and two sons. Cherished grandfather to 11 and great-grandfather to 3. Beloved son to late Zolton Joseph Szilasy and Sandra Elizabeth Szilasy (Nee Harmsworth). Brother to Karen Dianne Szilasy Siddal, Steven Jason Szilasy and Darren Clayton Szilasy. Nephew to the late Uncle Steve Szilasy and Aunt Helen Burton as well as his two nieces and two nephews.
He will be dearly missed by his many family and friends.
Ray loved his dogs and enjoyed his time on the road trucking, especially taking his children on the road with him. A storyteller who reminisced about good times and rock and roll with his closest friends Pete Bueckert and Shawn Authier. A private cultural ceremony has taken place followed by cremation.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
