Peacefully, at her residence, on Sunday April 28, 2024, Mathilda “Thilda” Martha Maria du Puy, age 84, of Chatham, beloved wife of the late Alfred du Puy (1980). Born in 1939, daughter of the late Maria (Van Waterschoot) and Josephus (Joos) Bogaert.
Loving mother of Ron (Catherine) du Puy and Mark (Susan) du Puy. Dearest Oma of 6 grandchildren, (Ron/Cathy) Brett, Jennifer, Justine and Reid and (Mark/Sue) Shae Lynn and Brayden. Survived by brother Paul (Erna).
Predeceased by her brother George (Tina), brother Josephus, brother Theo, sister Maria de Booy (Joos), brother Karel (Margot), sister Josée Roudijk (Theo) and brother Emery. Survived by many nephews and nieces in the Netherlands.
Friends and relatives may visit at St. Joseph’s Church, 245 Wellington St. W, Chatham on Saturday May 4, 2024 from 10-11 AM. A Funeral Mass will follow being celebrated in St. Joseph’s Church at 11 AM.
Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery following the mass.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
