Karen Jolicoeur (nee Pascall)
It is with shattered hearts that we announce the passing of Karen Jolicoeur on Friday, May 10, 2024 in her 65th year, at the Chatham Kent Hospice, surrounded by the love of her family. She fought a courageous battle with cancer and stayed positive through it all.
A huge hole is left in the hearts of the love of her life, soul mate, and best friend Len Jolicoeur as well as her daughters Angel and Cyndi Jolicoeur.
There to meet her on the other side are her parents, Dorothy and Art Pascall as well as her brother Eddie Pascall, her beloved mother-in-law Agnes Jolicoeur, and wagging their tails to greet her are the family pets Rastus and Riley.
Also left to mourn the loss of their dear sister are her siblings; Norman Pascall (Mary Jo Fox), Marilyn Harris (Mitch), Heather Proulx (Doug), Christine Pascall, and Rob Pascall (Monique), as well her loving brother-in-law Richard Jolicouer (Judy) and Brenda Jolicoeur.
Her lifelong friend Lori Cannard is going to miss her best friend, confidant, and pilot of the many adventures these two went on over the years.
Auntie “Camera” is going to be fondly missed by so many nieces and nephews that she loved so much. She loved not only taking pictures of each and every one of them as they grew up but also loved seeing all the pictures of them and hearing about the stories and adventures they went on. Please carry with you that she loved you all dearly.
Karen comes from a large family and adored spending time with all of them at as many family gatherings that she was able to attend. She was a very creative and talented artist and had a natural talent for creating wonderful pieces for many of her family and friends over the years, he was told by many she should sell her pieces, but she just enjoyed creating for those she loved. Who could ever forget her fun fingernail designs she loved to coordinate with season, events, earrings or outfits.
Nothing made Karen happier than going on many adventures with her husband Len and her children, it didn’t have to be anywhere extravagant, she just enjoyed being with her family exploring different locations and making many fun and happy memories.
The family would like to give our heartfelt thanks to the many nurses and PSW’s at the Chatham Kent Hospice for all of their care and compassion in taking care of Karen while she was there, as well as Sheri from Bayshore who advocated for her care while she at home.
As per Karen’s request, there will be no service or visitation.
In lieu of flowers , memorial donations made to the Chatham Kent Hospice, or the charity of your choice will be appreciated by the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Life Transitions. (397 McNaugton Ave W, 519 351-4444).
