Obituary of Eleanor Reeve
It is with tremendous sadness the family of Eleanor Reeve announce her unexpected passing on Friday, January 19, 2024 at the age of 72.
She was born Eleanor Tompkins on February 7th, 1951 to the late James & Norma (nee Hodgson) Tompkins.
Eleanor will forever be missed by her two children, Bridgett Bailey & Brian Bailey (Judy), who she was a devoted and proud mother of.
Remembered always by her grandchildren, James, Samantha, & Simon.
Dear sister of Barb Gagner and predeceased by her sister’s, Wanda & Ruthie.
She will be dearly missed by her boyfriend, Dave Tulp.
Eleanor was well known for the Home Hunting Guide of the Chatham Daily News for over 25 years. After retirement, she dedicated her time to Loads of Love and most recently, the smiling face greeting you at Frick’s Fish & Chips. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and also enjoyed having lunches out with her close friends.
Bridgett and Brian would like to personally thank all of her friends who made our mom laugh and made her life special.
Family to receive friends on Wednesday, February 7th, 2024 at the McKinlay Reception Centre, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham from 2:00 – 5:00 pm. Words of Remembrance will be shared at 3:30 pm.
Cremation has taken place.
In memory of Eleanor, in lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a memorial donation are asked to consider the Chatham-Kent Animal Rescue.
