Jones: Dave –
A resident of Merlin, Dave Jones passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at the age of 58.
Born in St. Thomas, Dave was the son of the late Keith and Joanne (nee Winter) Jones. Son-in-law to Ron Arnold and the late Janet Arnold (nee Houston).
Cherished husband and best friend of 27 years to Kim (nee Arnold).
Loving father of Ciara Jones and Tabitha Arnold.
Sadly missed by his furry friends Niko, Sage, Nia and Cali.
Dear brother to Debbie Reed (Kevin), Janet Jones, Lori de Vlugt (Paul) and Mary Beth Roy (HP).
Brother-in-law to Cary Jamieson (Dave), Terry Haskell (Bill), Ronda Arnold (Fred), Glenda “Nana” Arnold and Julie Ogilvie.
Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Dave loved to play rock music in his garage while puttering in his garden and yard.
He was a loyal Leafs fan, patiently waiting for them to celebrate their next Stanley Cup win.
Dave will be remembered for his quick, dry wit.
Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Monday, January 22, 2024 from 6:00 – 8:00pm.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 11:00am on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. Cremation to follow.
Donations made in memory of Dave to the Pet and Wildlife Rescue or Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent would be appreciated by the family.
