Obituary of Darlene Thompson
Thompson : Darlene Elizabeth May (née McMath) –
A resident of Chatham, Darlene Thompson passed away peacefully, with her loving husband by her side at Riverview Gardens Long Term Care Home on Sunday November 3, 2024 at the age of 86.
Born in Chatham, Darlene was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Elizabeth Ann (née Munro) McMath.
Darlene is the daughter in law of the late Erkwood Thompson and Geraldine and Melvin Whittington.
Beloved wife of 53 years to the love of her life Edwin Thompson.
Darlene will be profoundly missed by her devoted and loving daughter Tracy (Mike) Boulley.
She is also the mother of Daryll Thompson.
Darlene took great pride in her grandchildren Kaylee (Matt) Anderson and Cody Boulley (Genny Frick) and all their accomplishments.
She will be deeply missed by her dedicated and loyal brother Lloyd McMath.
Darlene and Ed shared a passion for travel, creating cherished memories on cross-country road trips and their favorite adventures to Mesquite and Laughlin, Nevada. Their journeys together were a testament to their love.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to 3rd floor continuing care at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance and Riverview Gardens.
Family to receive friends on Wednesday November 6, 2024 at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham 6:00pm – 9:00pm. A private family gathering and burial to take place at a later date.
