Obituary of Christopher Bernard Joseph Browne
Browne: Christopher Bernard Joseph –
A resident of Chatham, and formerly of Grand Falls Windsor, Newfoundland, Chris Browne passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at the age of 67.
Born in Grand Falls, Chris was the son of the late William and Clara (née Power) Browne.
Beloved husband of 45 years to Kathleen (née Morris) (2022).
Loving father of Nicole Lucier (Brian) of Grande Pointe and Kim Blackmore (Mark) of Port Elgin.
Proud Pop to Norah, Paige, Russell, Jack and Hannah.
Dear brother to Cas (Debbie), Terry (Minnie), Tony (Cynthia), Ron (Diane), Billy (late Kathleen), the late Maureen, Catherine (John), Philip (Kim) and Brendan (Sherri).
Also missed by nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Chris and Kathleen were together since the day they met at the age of fourteen. His final words were of Kathleen and the love they shared. He was a respected and dedicated pharmacist who valued hard work and education. He was known to tell his girls to “keep your eye on the prize”. Chris aka “Robo-Dad” will always be remembered for his long distance road trips with his girls (rest breaks were frowned upon).
As per Chris’ wishes, cremation has taken place. Chris and Kathleen will be reunited in a meaningful location in Newfoundland.
Donations made in memory of Chris to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
