Ronnie McIntosh Obituary
Ronald McIntosh
Peacefully with his family by his side on December 15, 2024, Ronald “Ronnie” McIntosh passed away at the age of 72. Predeceased by his father Rufus McIntosh, mother Theresa (Gemmill) McIntosh and brother Kenny McIntosh (Judy). Ronnie will be forever loved and missed by his wife Bonnie, son Jacob (Meagan Vout), sisters Barb McDonald and Nora Cromwell (Brian), brothers Kevin McIntosh (Kathy) and John McIntosh (Marlene) as well as many nieces and nephews.
The last years of your life have not been kind
And we never know the way we’re gonna go
But there’s still good memories that come to mind
And all that we can do is think of those.
You did so many good things for our family
And for all of the people that you knew
There is just no way that I can see
A coming day that we’re not missing you.
It’s comforting to know you’re not in pain
Though now that pain falls down on our hearts
It comes back out in tears, much like rain
We will miss you, brother, in the stars.
Ronnie was a hard working man that always provided for his family, the kind of guy that would give you the shirt off his back, loved to help his fellow neighbor, always gave 100% but when it came to family he gave 120%. Ronnie loved the outdoors, whether it was deer hunting, ice fishing or just sitting in a lawn chair out in the sun having a cold one. A die hard New York Ranger fan who talked about 94 like it was yesterday. Loved baseball. Man could he play, you weren’t going to strike him out, he’d swing at everything, get on base, then the fun started, Rocket Ron would gallop around those bases like a deer. Legend has it he stole home. Ron enjoyed golf with his son, brothers and nephews. The day he hit a Hole in One at Dalhousie Glen will never be forgotten.
As Luke Bryan said:
“So long my friend, until we meet again
I’ll remember you
And all the times that we used to
Sit right here on the edge of this pier
And watch the sunset disappear
And drink a beer”
In lieu of flowers, a donation to CHEO would be appreciated by the family.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in the spring time.
