Lenore Compton (Steen) R.N. Obituary
At the Bruyère – Greystone Transitional Care Unit, December 20, 2023. Mother of Jeffrey (Corinne), and Michael (Lisa); and grandmother of Dylan, Eliot, Ben and Harper. Daughter of the late Rev. Cecil A. S. Steen and Dorothy Lena (Newman). Sister of Bill (Sylvia) and Andrea (Eric Jones). Lenore was lovingly referred to as “Nanore” by her grandchildren. She loved animals and was an amazing gardener.
Lenore was a registered nurse, graduating from the Ottawa Civic Hospital in 1965. She loved this work, spending most of her career working in Senior Care at the Perley, Rideau Veterans hospitals. A very special thank you to all of the kind staff on the seventh floor, Dr. Thomas, and others at Greystone who cared for her over the past year.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ottawa Humane Society.
