Laura-Anne Barrick Obituary
Laura-Anne Barrick
March 11, 1948 – January 2, 2024
Surrounded by her family, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Laura-Anne, beloved wife of 51 years to Bruce, loving mother of her daughter Alison Barrick (Matt), and stepdaughters Donna Barrick (Kevin) and Susan McLean (Murray). Laura-Anne also had 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Laura-Anne is predeceased by her mother Regina and brother Norman and survived by her sister Rochelle Riches, sisters-in-law Judy Riches and Janis Baggio (Jerry) and nieces and nephew.
Laura-Anne loved playing cards with family and enjoyed playing Bridge with her friends at the legion in Carleton Place. She was always up for a party and was the first one on the dance floor. Laura-Anne always thought of others first even after her cancer diagnosis.
No memorial service will be held at her request but a Celebration of Life will be planned in St. Catharines at a date in the future. In lieu of flowers, donations in Laura-Anne’s memory to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation Cancer Research would be appreciated.
