Irene Margaret Sweeney (Lowe)

Irene passed away peacefully in Perth, Ontario on June 14, 2024 surrounded by family and friends. Predeceased by her husband Hillis Sweeney and children Brenda Sweeney-Uden (Michael) and Barrie Sweeney (Brenda). Irene was very close to her four grandsons, Matt and Nathan Uden and Sean and David Sweeney. She was blessed to watch their families grow making her a great grandmother.
The Mississippi Queen is now at rest.
A graveside inurnment will be held at United Cemeteries, 2677 Cemetery Side Road, Carleton Place, on Friday June 21 at 10 a.m. Please join the family for a Celebration of Life at The Thirsty Moose, upstairs following the service from 12 – 2p.m.
