Bradley Smith Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Bradley Fraser Smith at home on November 22, 2024, at the age of 80. He is survived by his loving wife, Lorraine Smith, his only son, Fraser Smith, and his grandchildren, Shaye Smith and Ronin Smith. Bradley was predeceased by his parents, Alfred John Smith and Hazel Ruth Smith, and by his beloved brother, Murray Smith.
Bradley spent his early years in Ottawa, later finding peace and inspiration from his cherished waterfront views along the Rideau River and the Mississippi, where he could reflect and nurture his creative spirit. He was passionate about watercolor painting, capturing the beauty of the world around him with care and detail. A true enthusiast of technical gadgets, Bradley delighted in exploring new technologies and mastering their possibilities, often becoming the go-to person for advice and solutions.
Known for his warmth and kindness, Bradley touched the lives of everyone he met. Those who knew him will fondly remember his habit of taking his time to say goodbye—whether on a phone call or after a visit—making sure everyone felt cared for. True to form, even in his final farewell, Bradley ensured those around him were happy and looked after before he left them.
A small private service will be held to honour Bradley’s memory, in accordance with his wishes. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to a charity of your choice in Bradley’s memory.
