It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of Ruth “Ruppy” Elizabeth Marquis (Pilkington) of Puslinch Ontario on December 12, 2024 at the age of 83.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 62 years, John “Jack” Marquis. Loving mother of Terry, Lori (Ingo), and Kim. Cherished grandmother to her only grandchild Jasmine. Dear sister of Esther and Paul (Mary). She will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews as well as numerous relatives and friends. She will also be dearly missed by her friends up at Contau Lake.
Ruth was predeceased by her parents William “Bill” and Martha Pilkington and brother-in-law Mancel Wilmont.
Ruth was born in Hespeler Ontario in her grandparents home and grew up in Puslinch where she once lived again at the age of 63. She was very active with the Hespeler St. Andrew’s Presbyterian church where she was married and her children and grandchild were baptized. She was a member of the choir and had a passion for bowling and playing cards. She spent lots of time at the family cottage making memories with friends and family.
We want to give a special thanks to the Bayshore team; Leslie, Emily, and Dr. Spadafora. As well as April for helping take such great care of her.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
