With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Marsha Jane Catherine Laur. Born on February 1, 1979, Marsha left us on July 14, 2024. She was born ready for stardom, and with every instrument she touched, she created magic.
Marsha is survived by her two beloved children, Maggie and Craig Goldrick, and their father, Jiles Goldrick; his parents, Craig and Karen; his sisters, Melissa and Lena Goldrick; and Jiles’s nieces. She also leaves behind her mother, Jane Laur, partner John McKessock, and her siblings: Leanne Laur, along with her sons Carter and Evan Gatten; Matthew Laur, his daughter Tamara Laur, and his spouse Corry Cramp; and Christine Laur, her daughter Leana Smith, sons Ouen and Brixton Kilday, Ryker Danychuk, and partner Christian Danychuk. She is also survived by her aunts, uncles, and many cousins.
She was predeceased by her father, Roland Laur.
Marsha was a bright light in the lives of all who knew her, and her memory will be cherished by many. The family has limitless positive memories to share and invites everyone to a celebration of her life on Sunday, July 28, 2024, from 1-4 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 272, 26 Schofield St, Cambridge, ON N3C 1Y3.
Marsha, also known as MJ or Daisy Rose, will be remembered for her incredible talent, her passion for music, and the love she spread to all those around her. She will be dearly missed.
