THEISBURGER, Margret Jean –
Following a stoic 10- year fight against cancer, Margret Jean Thiesburger (nee Hetherington) passed early the morning of December 23rd, 2024, in her sleep at Cambridge Memorial Hospital. All her close family members and many friends share in a deep, heartfelt sorrow with the loss of such a loving, beautiful and kind person.
Margret was raised in Goderich and Clinton by her parents Murray & Eleanor along with her sisters Mary (Gene) and Helen (John). After leaving home Margret worked as a laboratory technician at McGill University and then returned to Ontario to begin her own family, settling in Galt where she lived for 55 years raising two children – Eric (Erika) and Amy (Jeff) -to whom she was devoted to throughout her life. Her grandchildren Sofia and Logan brought Margret so much joy in her later years and, without fail, both received cards for every occasion with a sincere, loving message from Grandma.
Deep, lifelong friendships with Lee, Ginny, Heather and many others helped fill her life with love, meaning and so much happiness. Margret also loved animals and spent many hours in the field with her horses Sophia and Lysynger and at home with her pets, Cloudy, Tess, Dodger, Fergus and Henry.
Always placing others before herself and loving so much those lucky enough to be close to her, Margret was the greatest blessing that her family and friends could wish for. Our grief is so deep with your passing Mom. You shall forever be deeply loved by those whom you cared so much about during your Life. We love you, rest in peace Mom.
Memorial service details will be provided this Spring.
